UserSearch

API reference › Debug › models › search › UserSearch

Backs the User Switch panel’s search form, delegating attribute access to the application’s identity model.

Instantiates the configured identityClass and forwards __get/__set/attributes() to it, so the panel can surface a search form whose fields automatically match whatever identity model the host application uses.

public function __get(string $name): mixed

Reads an attribute from the identity model.

Parameters

ParameterTypeDescription
$namestringAttribute name.

Returns

mixed: Attribute value, or null when no identity model is available.

public function __set(string $name, mixed $value): void

Writes an attribute to the identity model, ignoring the call when no identity model is available.

Parameters

ParameterTypeDescription
$namestringAttribute name.
$valuemixedValue to assign.
public function attributes(): array<int|string, string>

Returns the attribute names forwarded from the identity model.

Returns

array<int|string, string>: Attribute names forwarded from the identity model; empty when unavailable.

public function formName(): string

Returns the query-string prefix scoping this form.

Returns

string: Query-string prefix that scopes this form’s filter parameters.

public function init(): void

Instantiates the configured identityClass so the search form mirrors the identity model’s attributes.

public function rules(): array<int, array<int|string, mixed>>

Declares the safe attributes mirrored from the identity model.

Returns

array<int, array<int|string, mixed>>: Safe-attribute rules mirroring the identity model; empty when no identity model is available.

public function search(array<int|string, mixed> $params): yii\data\DataProviderInterface

Returns a data provider over the identity model.

Yields an ActiveDataProvider when the identity is an ActiveRecord; falls back to an empty ArrayDataProvider otherwise (so non-AR identities surface an empty user-switch grid instead of failing).

Parameters

ParameterTypeDescription
$paramsarray<int|string, mixed>Raw request parameters consumed by Model::load().

Returns

yii\data\DataProviderInterface: Provider over the identity model, empty for non-AR identities.
