executeResetSequence()
Section titled “executeResetSequence() ”public function executeResetSequence(mixed $table, mixed $value = null): mixedExecute a SQL statement for resetting the sequence value of a table’s primary key.
IDENTITY columns reset via ALTER TABLE ... MODIFY because system sequences (ISEQ$$_*) are not addressable
by name.
The column’s current generation clause is read from the data dictionary and preserved when resetting the
identity; Oracle retains the identity options the statement does not specify. User-named sequences use the
original DROP + CREATE recipe.
Reason for execute is that some databases (Oracle) need several queries to do so.
The sequence is reset such that the primary key of the next new row inserted will have the specified value or the
maximum existing value +1.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
$table | mixed | The name of the table whose primary key sequence is reset. |
$value | mixed | The integer value for the primary key of the next new row inserted. If this is not set, the next new row’s primary key will have the maximum existing value +1. |
Returns
mixed
Throws
yii\base\NotSupportedException: if this is not supported by the underlying DBMS
Since
2.0.16
insert()
Section titled “insert() ”public function insert(mixed $table, mixed $columns, mixed &$params): stringCreates an INSERT SQL statement.
Appends the locator RETURNING clause required by Oracle BLOB values.
For example,
$sql = $queryBuilder->insert('user', [ 'name' => 'Sam', 'age' => 30,], $params);The method will properly escape the table and column names.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
$table | mixed | The table that new rows will be inserted into. |
$columns | mixed | The column data (name => value) to be inserted into the table or instance of Query to perform INSERT INTO … SELECT SQL statement. Passing of Query is available since version 2.0.11. |
$params | mixed | The binding parameters that will be generated by this method. They should be bound to the DB command later. |
Returns
string: The INSERT SQL
mergeReturning()
Section titled “mergeReturning() ”public function mergeReturning(string $sql, array $params, array<string, string> $placeholders): stringAppends a RETURNING clause for the given OUT placeholders, merging any locator clause already present.
A DML statement built by insert() or update() may already end with a locator RETURNING
clause; its entries fold into the new clause because Oracle allows a single RETURNING clause per statement.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
$sql | string | DML statement built by this query builder. |
$params | array | The parameters bound to the SQL statement. |
$placeholders | array<string, | OUT placeholders indexed by unquoted column name. |
Returns
string: The SQL statement with the merged RETURNING clause.
renameTable()
Section titled “renameTable() ”public function renameTable(string $table, string $newName): stringBuilds a SQL statement for renaming a DB table.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
$table | string | The table to be renamed. The name will be properly quoted by the method. |
$newName | string | The new table name. The name will be properly quoted by the method. |
Returns
string: The SQL statement for renaming a DB table.
selectExists()
Section titled “selectExists() ”public function selectExists(mixed $rawSql): stringCreates a SELECT EXISTS() SQL statement.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
$rawSql | mixed | The subquery in a raw form to select from. |
Returns
string: The SELECT EXISTS() SQL statement.
Since
2.0.8
update()
Section titled “update() ”public function update(mixed $table, mixed $columns, mixed $condition, mixed &$params): stringCreates an UPDATE SQL statement.
Oracle BLOB updates require a condition that guarantees at most one matched row.
For example,
$params = [];$sql = $queryBuilder->update('user', ['status' => 1], 'age > 30', $params);The method will properly escape the table and column names.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
$table | mixed | The table to be updated. |
$columns | mixed | The column data (name => value) to be updated. |
$condition | mixed | The condition that will be put in the WHERE part. Please refer to Query::where() on how to specify condition. |
$params | mixed | The binding parameters that will be modified by this method so that they can be bound to the DB command later. |
Returns
string: The UPDATE SQL
Throws
yii\base\NotSupportedException: if the condition does not cover a unique key using non-null scalar values.
upsert()
Section titled “upsert() ”public function upsert(mixed $table, mixed $insertColumns, mixed $updateColumns, mixed &$params): stringCreates an SQL statement to insert rows into a database table if they do not already exist (matching unique constraints), or update them if they do.
A BLOB value routes to a single anonymous PL/SQL block through upsertWithLob(), because Oracle MERGE
cannot return the LOB locators the payload binds require; every other case builds the regular MERGE.
For example,
$sql = $queryBuilder->upsert('pages', [ 'name' => 'Front page', 'url' => 'https://example.com/', // url is unique 'visits' => 0,], [ 'visits' => new \yii\db\Expression('visits + 1'),], $params);The method will properly escape the table and column names.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
$table | mixed | The table that new rows will be inserted into/updated in. |
$insertColumns | mixed | The column data (name => value) to be inserted into the table or instance of Query to perform INSERT INTO ... SELECT SQL statement. |
$updateColumns | mixed | The column data (name => value) to be updated if they already exist. If true is passed, the column data will be updated to match the insert column data. If false is passed, no update will be performed if the column data already exists. |
$params | mixed | The binding parameters that will be generated by this method. They should be bound to the DB command later. |
Returns
string: The resulting SQL.
Throws
yii\base\NotSupportedException: if this is not supported by the underlying DBMS.
Since
2.0.14
